Rosary Holder Tutorial

I used to make and sell these in my shop, but decided to make a tutorial so you all can enjoy creating them and save money by doing it yourself!

I know I’m not the only one that has a massive collection of rosaries, so this is a fun and beautiful way to display them!

Supplies Needed:

  • Wooden display (I like these options from Michaels)
  • Wool felt (colors of your choice for roses and leaves)
  • 1 1/4” Cup hooks (get enough for your project, the link gets you 18 for under $4)
  • Scissors
  • White paint pen
  • Hot glue gun
  • 2 D hangers (these are important to mount the rosary holder so it won’t tilt with all the rosaries hanging on it)

Cut your roses following this example:

Cut your leaves and attach them to your wooden display with hot glue.

I recommend pre-drilling holes for the cup hooks so you don’t risk the wood splitting. Then twist in the hooks. Be sure to measure so they look evenly spaced!

Next you can draw out in pencil the words you want on your rosary holder. Some of my favorites are “full of grace” or “Hail Mary”. Then, finalize it with the paint pen.

Now you are done!! The last step is to attach some hangers on the back of your piece to mount it on the wall. You will need 2 because you don’t want the holder to tilt if one side has heavier rosaries dangling from it.

Now go hang up all those beautiful rosaries!
