Corpus Christi is the celebration of the Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Jesus Chritt. This feast day was created because many times, unintentionally, the beauty of the institution of the Eucharist during Holy Thursday gets added to the slew of awesome liturgical beginnings that originate during Holy Week.
So, this beautiful holy day is to recognize and celebrate the real presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist. After all, the Eucharist is the source and summit of our Catholic faith.
Here are some ways to celebrate this day:
1. Spend an extra 5-10 minutes praying in front of the Tabernacle after Mass. This moment of time can be family or individual prayer ut it is a beautiful reminder of the gift just received in the Eucharist
2. Schedule time for weekly adoration
3. Organize a parish Eucharistic procession
