How To: Making Hearts for the Homeless

Throughout the year, usually during Advent and Lent, our family likes to make goodie bags for the homeless, complete with a special homemade heart and encouraging note. There are tons of options for what to include in a goodie bag, but these are some common things we like to add:

  • Water
  • Soft Snacks
  • Kleenex
  • Hand Warmers
  • Socks
  • Toothpaste
  • Toothbrush
  • Wipes

Below you will see how we make our fabric hearts!

Ta-da! Repeat the process with as many patterns and designs as you'd like. Add a heart or 2 to each goodie bag, and you're ready to bring some light and hope into someone's life.
