Here at The Little Rose Shop, we do love a good gut check. A reminder of what is important, what is true, and what is good. Thankfully, when we look to the saints, they are our inspiration for our mission of getting to heaven. We especially need these reminders when going about our day to day lives.
When our hearts need reminding about who to turn to, in all things, the saints can help us. In times of joy, trial, and in times of sameness, we need to show our gratitude to the Lord for all He has given to us.
These five saint quotes on gratitude hit home for us and we would love to share!
“The secret of happiness is to live moment by moment and to thank God for all that he, in his goodness, sends to us day after day.” -St. Gianna Molla
“Remember the past with gratitude. Live the present with enthusiasm. Look forward to the future with confidence.” -St. John Paul II
“Prayer is an aspiration of the heart. It is a simple glance directed to heaven. It is a cry of gratitude and love in the midst of trial as well as joy.” -St. Thérèse of Lisieux
Get used to lifting your heart to God, in acts of thanksgiving, many times a day. Because he gives you this and that. Because you have been despised. Because you haven’t what you need or because you have. Thank him for everything, because everything is good.” -St. Josemaria Escriva
“If souls are humble, they will be moved to give thanks.” -St. Teresa of Ávila
