Do you ever stumble across a Saint who just resonates with you in a very real way? I recently stumbled upon this quote from St. Zelie and it's slowly changing my life. After diving in to learning more about her, I came across quote after quote that either blew me away or made me say "YES! She gets it!"
I hope that as I share these quotes from St. Zelie, you sit with them. Let them sink in and change your heart, as I'm finding they are changing mine.
Carry On Bravely
"The good Lord does not do things by halves; He always gives what we need. Let us then carry on bravely."
The Daily Heroic
"It is necessary that the heroic becomes daily and that the daily becomes heroic."
Await with Confidence
"It is over the little things that I worry most. Whenever a real misfortune happens, I am quite resigned, and I await with confidence the help of God."
The Need of Quiet Reflection
"I long for rest. I have not even the courage to struggle on. I feel the need of quiet reflection to think of salvation, which the complications of this world have made me neglect."
Better Late Than Never
"I want to become a saint; it will not be easy at all. I have a lot of wood to chop and it is as hard as stone. I should have started sooner, while it was not so difficult; but in any case 'better late than never.'"
St. Zelie, Pray for Us!
