How to Celebrate Mary Magdalene's Feast Day

How to Celebrate Mary Magdalene's Feast Day

Mary Magdalene oftentimes is called the Apostle to the Apostles because she found the empty tomb on Easter morning and ran to tell the other disciples. Jesus encountered her after his Resurrection in the garden and she was filled with so much excitement and joy at seeing our Lord again that he told her to tell the others the Good news.

Independent in her own right, as concluded by her name that includes the place of her birth, Mary Magdalene accompanied the disciples and Jesus throughout His public ministry and stood at the foot of the cross during the Crucifixion.

What a woman. Her feast day is July 22nd. We love to celebrate Mary Magdalene at here at The Little Rose Shop.

Here is what we can do to celebrate:

  1. Invite a friend or family member to Mass. Share the Good News just like Mary Magdalene
  2. Spend some time in the garden, your own or a church garden, praying through the mysteries of the Resurrection. Check out our adorable Mary Garden Wooden Stakes to create a place of prayer in your garden.
  3. Join us in praying the Glorious Mysteries of the Rosary. Download our free Rosary Coloring pages here!
  4. Send a spiritual bouquet to someone, giving the gift of the garden of your heart.
