How to Celebrate St. Joseph the Worker

St. Joseph the Worker

What an amazing man St. Joseph was! He was a man of many skills and talents - let alone being the foster-father of God! I've always loved the image of St. Joseph as a strong man who knew how to work with his hands, but also someone who had a beautiful ability to be patient and gentle. His life surely is worth remembering and celebrating on his feast day!

It is so easy to get overwhelmed trying to do all the things to celebrate a certain saint. I'm here to tell you - don't sweat it! Celebrating feast days doesn’t have to be hard! Make it fun and simple! Here are a few super easy suggestions you might try to celebrate this awesome man of God!

We all have to get dressed anyway right? Grab something grubby, or go the extra step and create a fun "carpenter" outfit for your kiddos!

Maybe it's as simple as changing that light bulb that's been burnt out for months, or painting that spot on the wall that chipped off (thanks kids!). Or maybe you have a huge renovation project you're in the middle of, or a small project you want to start. There's no right answer - just pick something and dedicate a little time to it today in honor of St. Joseph.

Last but not least, simply say this prayer together with your family. Take a screenshot of this image on your phone, and pull it up at dinner time (or at bedtime if you forget earlier in the day!). St. Joseph is such a powerful intercessor for us - let's remember to ask for his help, today and every day!

St Joseph the Worker, pray for us!
