Behind the Scenes
Snippets from our real life: sketching designs, kid-approved testing, prayerful packing, and the joy of shipping your order.
Our “Why”: Bringing Faith Into Everyday Family Life
We started this shop with one simple conviction: the Catholic faith belongs at the center of family life—messy mornings, after-school snacks, and late-night storytime included. That’s why our products are intentionally designed to be beautiful and practical. If a board book invites a toddler to point at a saint, or a prayer blanket nudges a weary parent to whisper a Hail Mary, then the design is doing its quiet work. The Church calls family life a “domestic church,” and we humbly try to design tools that make that real: approachable, durable, and joy-giving.
When you hit “add to cart,” you’re not buying something mass-market. You’re partnering with a family who prays as we work, who makes kid-friendly choices about materials and finishes, and who believes that good design can plant seeds of faith for years to come.
Design to Delivery: How a Product Comes to Life
Every item we ship has a story. Sometimes it begins with a feast day on the calendar, a Scripture verse that won’t leave our prayer, or a parent’s request from our inbox. From there, we move through a simple, repeatable path that helps us keep quality high and hearts centered:
| Step |
What Happens |
Who’s Involved |
What Makes It Intentional |
| 1) Discern |
We pray, research feast days, and listen to your requests. |
Parents, kids, our small team |
We aim for items that invite prayer, spark curiosity, and bless family routines. |
| 2) Design |
Sketches become layouts; colors, fonts, and finishes are chosen for clarity and joy. |
Illustration + product design |
We test readability, tactile feel, and durability for real family life. |
| 3) Prototype |
We make samples and invite our kids (and yours!) to try them. |
Moms, dads, toddlers, teens |
If little hands can’t wreck it in a week, we’re on the right track. |
| 4) Finalize |
We refine artwork, approve proofs, and set production timelines. |
Design + operations |
We keep quality high while staying family-budget friendly. |
| 5) Receive & Inspect |
Shipments arrive; we spot-check for color, finish, and binding/print quality. |
Whole family + team |
We set aside anything that doesn’t meet our standard. |
| 6) Pack with Prayer |
We pick, wrap, and pack; often we pray for the recipient as we work. |
Fulfillment team (a.k.a. mom, dad, and helpful kids!) |
Your box is prepared with intention—because your home is holy ground. |
| 7) Ship & Support |
We get orders out quickly and stay close by for questions or replacements. |
Customer care (real humans!) |
We want every purchase to feel simple, thoughtful, and joy-filled. |
That’s the rhythm you’ll notice in the video: short, honest clips of discernment, design, kid testing, and the daily hustle of a tiny shipping desk. It’s ordinary—and that’s the point. God meets families in the ordinary.

What It’s Like to Be a Family-Run Catholic Business
The best part is that we get to build this together. When a new design idea pops up, it rarely stays on a whiteboard—it hits the kitchen table fast. Someone is always reaching for markers, someone else is pulling out reference books, a toddler is testing the paper weight (and sometimes the taste—paper is apparently delicious), and the conversation turns toward a feast day we’re learning about or a verse that’s been echoing. That’s our “research department.” It looks like homework and snack time because it is.
The hardest part? Boundaries. Family businesses blur lines. A UPS knock can interrupt bedtime; a late-night print proof can interrupt movie night. We’ve learned to keep Sundays set apart with autoresponders so we can refresh offline, to pause for grace before shifts, and to let our kids see that work belongs to our worship when it’s done with love. We want them to know that building something beautiful for others is a privilege—and that every box on the porch carries a little mission with it.
Practically, we keep things small and human. We batch orders so we can pray for recipients by name. We choose materials that can survive playrooms and diaper bags. And we celebrate every review you send, because it reminds us that these are not just “products”—they’re prayer tools and memory makers in real homes like yours.
How Your Purchase Helps Evangelize (and Keeps Us Going!)
Every time you support a small Catholic shop, you do three beautiful things at once:
-
You evangelize at home. A quiet book, a blanket or a mug can spark a conversation that reshapes a day. Small seeds; big harvests.
-
You keep craftspeople working. Families like ours—and partners we collaborate with—depend on your orders to keep making faithful, high-quality goods.
-
You help us give back. We give back to a life affirming charity every year. Because of you we've been able to give over $80,000!
FAQs
How do you choose which Catholic products to design?
We start in prayer and look at real family needs: What would serve toddlers at bedtime? What helps a busy mom pray in the carpool line? We weigh materials, format, and price so the final piece is both beautiful and practical for daily life.
Do you really pray for your customers?
Yes. Our team has a prayer group chat and we are constantly adding to it when we receive and email or comment.
Which products in the video are best for toddlers?
Our Board Books Collection is designed specifically for little hands: sturdy pages, simple prayers, and inviting illustrations. Try Peek-a-Boo Saints for playful interaction and Baby’s 1st Catholic Book for high-contrast visibility with infants.
How fast do you ship, and what if there’s a problem?
We ship quickly from our shop, and we’re easy to reach. If anything arrives damaged or not quite right, please contact us so we can make it right. Real people answer your emails here!
How can our family build a stronger “domestic church” at home?
Start small and stay steady: place a prayer card by the sink, light a candle at dinner on feast days, and keep a board book basket within kids’ reach. Little habits become holy rhythms. If you’re looking for next steps, browse our best-sellers for family-friendly ideas.
