Ahhhh summer. Long days, longer evenings, school is out, schedules relax, kids play in the dirt and ….school is out?!
This sudden change of pace for families of school age families can throw a wrench into the usual hustle and bustle school time schedules. We find it can be especially difficult to maintain a sense of schedules, order and peace and to incorporate your Catholic faith into the less rigid schedules of summer.
Here are a few tips from The Little Rose Shop to keep up your liturgical living and to incorporate some structure to your day. These tips work great for families with kiddos and those looking to have a faith filled summer!
-
Begin your day in prayer. Check out our fabulous Morning Offering Mug to start your day right. No matter what the summer day turns into, you know you can offer it to the Lord.

June is dedicated to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. Schedule an intentional family fun outing and consecrate your home and your family to the Sacred Heart. Check out these resources from the Messy Family Project about how to do the consecration.

Celebrate the major feast days in June, July and August. Download our Digital Liturgical Calendar to help you remember what feast days are headed your way. Nothing beats a cookout to celebrate the Nativity of St. John the Baptist (6/24) or a procession celebrating Corpus Christi (6/11).
