Under her mantle

Originally it was ordered for my daughter but I ordered in the wrong size so I gave her the Ave María one which she loved. I returned the smaller blanket for for the larger size. When the new one arrived I decided to keep it for myself it is beautiful, so soft, warm and it’s bigger than a throw blanket. I am so happy with my purchase.

So Soft!

I was homeless a few years ago when I found an our lady of Guadalupe $5 dollar blanket that was donated to the shelter. Actually another homeless person found it and thought of me. I slept with it every night. As a convert to Catholicism I wasn’t really aware of our lady of Guadalupe’s story or meaning then. But ever since I sleep with an our lady of Guadalupe blanket. My first blanket didn’t survive homelessness, the second was hand woven and not cat proof unfortunately lol. And I love them too much to tell them to get off. Third times the charm.

Okay enough about me. I love that this blanket has larger size options because I’m 5’7” I’m too tall for the standard size of throw blankets so I appreciate the option to go bigger. The material is so soft. Classic minky feel. I say a prayer to Our Lady of Guadalupe every morning so I like the idea of being “wrapped in her mantle of protection.” Really makes it special. It also encourages me to pray.

I received a notification saying the item I ordered was delivered but when I contacted the recipients they report they did not receive the package. I reported this to OnTrac & the opened a ticket to investigate where the package is. I was told they would get back to me in 48 business hours. I’m hoping they find the package & deliver it in time for Christmas.
