During Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, The Little Rose Shop is releasing The Gardener: A Gentle Story for Families about Child Loss, a new children’s book inspired by the personal experience of two mothers who wanted to help families navigate the difficult process of explaining miscarriage and child loss to young children.
Miscarriage is incredibly common, but explaining it to a child can feel anything but common.
Meet the Creative Director
Raquel Rose
Raquel Rose is the founder and creative director of The Little Rose Shop, a Catholic family brand dedicated to helping families bring faith into everyday life through beautiful, intentional products and resources. A former school counselor and mother, Raquel combines her background in child development with her Catholic faith to create meaningful tools that make big ideas of faith tangible and accessible for children and families.
What began as a small creative business has grown into a nationally recognized Catholic brand known for its innovative children’s books, interactive Mass resources, and faith-filled products for the home. Raquel’s award-winning children’s books are designed to help parents introduce prayer, the sacraments, the saints, and Catholic traditions in ways that feel approachable and engaging for young children.
At the heart of Raquel’s work is a simple belief: faith is formed in the ordinary moments of family life. Through The Little Rose Shop, she hopes to give families beautiful, practical tools that help make those everyday moments an opportunity to encounter God.
