My First Examen Board Book – Catholic Kids Devotional on Daily Examen Prayer

We love this book! It’s been a great, gentle introduction to The Examen. My 5 year old is actually most interested in it and really enjoys the engagement. It’s been a nice way for he and I to connect as well.

I think this book will be a favorite bedtime book. I like the prompts for even the youngest children to remember things from their day.

Got this as a birthday gift for our God children and it’s a perfect gift. It is interactive and fun.

This book is everything I wanted. It is a beautiful way to start your children on a path towards a lifetime of prayer.

One of my favorite purchases from this store. My toddler interacts with the book every night for her nightly prayers. She loves it. Great introduction to examination of conscience.

I loved the book; I gave it as a gift to my young nephew, who was just baptized. I love how the book introduces someone who is little to some of the key ideas of the Examen in a way that is accessible and meaningful.

The materials are good quality but I don't think the board book format is appropriate for the content. I think age 5+ would be great for starting examen but my kids were turned off by a board book as too babyish. As a board book, the amount of text would be difficult for toddlers to sit through/comprehend. I also think the Jesus in your heart turn wheel had a lot of blank space -usually those are used to rotate through multiple images.

Very cute and interactive!

My 4 year old loves praying with this book before bed. It helps to calm her mind and body. The prayer prompts are perfect for inviting little ones to talk to Jesus about their day and the interactive wheels and lift the flaps keep them engaged.

Helpful for adults also! I love the step by step directions, and this can be a great nighttime routine.

I am very inspired by this sweet book. It will be a gift for my 8 yo niece.

Just read book with my granddaughter. She loves it.
