I’ve been scouring the internet looking for the perfect examen journal, and this is it. It is beautiful with the sturdy linen hardcover, and the touch of gilded gold page edges. It has plenty of space to write, a nice ribbon page marker to keep you on your current day, and an example page to guide you if you’re unfamiliar with praying an examen. I like the quotes on each day. I really love that they included the page which discusses the gifts of the Holy Spirit- it’s a very nice guide for discerning “what am I really needing right now to live out this commitment to the Lord?”. I’ll be purchasing another one when I’m done with this one and have recommended it to my friends.
This exam journal was perfect. Over Lent I had started doing an exam as part of a Lenten program and wanted to continue the practice. I was so excited to find this journal, I love it!

This book helps me focus on the big picture, gratitude, consolations and desolations, and is a great help to keep me consistently examining each day. It’s just what I needed to help me slow down and reflect on my day. I wish there was an act of contrition wrote in the front of the book to refer to. I ended up writing my own there but overall the book is a perfect little aid to help keep me focused on what matters most.
