Aesthetically beautiful holy water font with a large capacity, however it was hard to mount. I would recommend that any purchaser use strong fishing line or ribbon, passed through the nail hole, to hang the font from a suitable support.
The nail hole is straight (90 degrees) through the font and is narrow. Therefore, to mount it on a nail, one would either have to hammer the nail in while it is in the font's nail hole or use a small head nail.
A large head nail is preferable to stop the font falling off if it is jostled, but hammering the nail while it is in the font's nail hole presents the risk of striking the font or the shock waves (from hammering) damaging the ceramic which is brittle.
Installing a small headed nail and then hanging the font is inadvisable because the nail hole is perpendicular to the main body of the font, therefore the font would only be resting on a small ledge and could easily be knocked off.
The perpendicular nail hole is also bad for load bearing. The ceramic is heavy by itself and with the addition of holy water, the combined weight will, over time, bend the nail holding the font. The easiest solution is to install the nail at an upward angle, but the perpendicular hole and the thickness of the font back make this difficult.
If this product is ever updated, I would recommend creating the mounting nail hole at an upward angle. Then a small head nail could be used because gravity would wedge the font against the upward angled nail and the nail would stand up better to the weight of the full font.
