I love this book! I wish I had this for all my children! My youngest is just now starting to be able to pull the flaps and do the pages but it is SUCH a joy to see her love on Jesus in this book.
I found these quiet books for toddlers and purchased for the first anniversary of my Goddaughter’s Baptism! So creative, fun, and hopefully planting seeds of joy to discover and learn more about the faith as she grows older!
This is a beautifully well constructed book. There are more pages than I expected! Also there are surprise lift the flaps revealing not only Jesus, but little creatures of God’s creation (a ladybug behind a plant, a bunny behind a bush, for example). I especially love the 2 page spread which reveals Jesus behind all people, including homeless, elderly, and imprisoned. A great reminder of the corporal and spiritual Works of Mercy.

Fabulous gift for my Godson
i bought this for my 3 yr old grandson but my five year old grandson was really interested in it and it opened the door for him to make some great connections with the faith. When I read the "Jesus loves me" he said "Jesus loves you?" I said who's in the mirror? and He said "Me" it was like a little lightbulb lit up and he had a big smile.

A beautiful gift, for our Grandson’s baptism!
My 10 month old is able to pull off pieces of this and other books. Today, a piece of the donkey's hair pulled off and he was about to swallow it.
Immediately, for the Wrapped in Mary's Mantle book, my 10 month old was able to pull off one of the rain drop designs on the Our Lady of Knock page.
These books are almost there. They need to be pressure tested with actual children, and actual babies to ensure babies and children cannot rip pieces off and potentially choke on pieces of the book. I would hesitate to recommend this book to new parents because of this hazard.
I don't event think putting a warning saying it is perhaps for kids 3 and older would be enough because it could be a choking hazard even for them.
Otherwise, this book is beautiful. I was sold when they showed Jesus as the Eucharist - something it is important for every Catholic to understand, not just children.
For young babies, they like the colors and chewing on the book. It does distract them for a while in Mass. I can see this being great for kids around the age of 4, where they can begin to understand the concepts of the book.

That said, babies can be surprisingly strong, and we always recommend supervising little ones during use, especially for children who are still in the stage of putting everything in their mouth.
