Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Wooden Prayer Card Box?
The Wooden Prayer Card Box is an heirloom-style acacia wood box designed to store and display Catholic prayer cards. Instead of prayer cards scattered in wallets, car consoles, and junk drawers, it keeps them safe in one beautiful place - with a slot on the lid to display a card during prayer.
What size prayer cards fit in the Wooden Prayer Card Box?
The box measures 7.5" x 4" x 4.8" and holds prayer cards up to 4" x 6", so both small and large holy cards fit comfortably.
What is the image engraved on the prayer card box?
The lid features a vintage engraving of Jesus recovered from French missals over 100 years old, giving the box a timeless, sacred character.
Why does the wood coloring vary between boxes?
The box is made of natural acacia wood, so variations in grain and coloration are normal - and part of what makes each box unique. Because of this, we can't offer exchanges for a different wood pattern or coloring.
Is the Wooden Prayer Card Box a good Catholic gift?
Yes - it's a meaningful gift for first communions, confirmations, ordinations, and anyone who collects prayer cards. Please note the prayer card shown in photos is not included (art credit: Nellie Edwards).
How do you store prayer cards?
Keep them together, upright and out of the way of spills. The Wooden Prayer Card Box holds cards up to 4 x 6 inches, so the ones now tucked in wallets, car consoles and drawers can live in one place near where you pray.
What are you supposed to do with prayer cards?
Pray with them. Keep them where you will see them, use one for your intention of the day, or take one out on a Saint's feast. The slot in the lid lets you display one card at a time.
Can I keep funeral prayer cards in it?
Many families use it to keep memorial and funeral cards of loved ones together, so they are not thrown away and can be taken out to pray for the person on their anniversary.
